Nalichniki turquoise bandana

A bandana in premium cotton. Nalichniki — the traditional carved wooden window surrounds — appeared in Russia around the 17th century and flourished in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. They are the fleeting beauty of Russian villages and towns: few nalichniki survive more than a hundred years. It is hard to imagine a village without its carved window frame, without a cat sitting in the window. With this project the authors wish to draw attention to the monuments of Russian wooden architecture.
